This piece took me a couple of days to carefully create and perfect. Measuring approximately 2½ inches, this is a unique two-layer keychain featuring a dancing woman on the bottom layer and a heart placed over her, symbolizing the love and passion I have for my culture.
When creating this piece, I was inspired by my culture, dance, art, and the love I have for where I come from. The inspiration comes from Bomba, a traditional Puerto Rican dance that was used as a way to communicate when words were not allowed.
The beautiful combination of Bomba and Plena runs through our veins and continues to tell the stories of our ancestors, our struggles, our strength, and our joy. I am incredibly proud of where I come from and of the generations that kept these traditions alive.
This keychain is more than just an accessory—it is a small representation of my culture, my roots, and the love I carry for my homeland wherever I go.
